Simply Sal. 10/17/11

After reading more into our book, "On the Road", and grasping a better understanding of the main character and narrator, Sal Paradise. I felt it was time to reflect on him and his many defined qualities. Sal has an innate ability when it comes to describing people and life in general. He understands those subtle insecurities and general facets of everyday living that many people comprehend, but simply cannot put into words. And that's what makes him special, and an excellent storyteller. Not to mention his laid back, go with the flow mentality, not only makes the book a much easier read, but also makes it much more enjoyable. There's a point in the book where Sal runs into a Circus owner, who offers him and his friend a job. The man states: "You boys going to get somewhere, or just going?" Sal may not have his whole life mapped out, but wherever it takes him, he's defiantly going to enjoy the ride. As for where the ride is going to take him, only time will tell....
